Terms of service.

The short version

NexLoft Studio ("NexLoft", "we") designs and builds websites. We quote a fixed price before work starts, we show you a working demo before you commit, and when the project is paid for, the finished site is yours. These terms fill in the details.

Quotes and the free demo

• Quotes are fixed prices for a defined scope, agreed in writing (email counts) before work begins. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it's done.
• The free demo is a working preview of your site — typically the homepage — built after a short scoping conversation. It's free and carries no obligation.
• Until a project is accepted and paid for, demos and unaccepted design work remain NexLoft's property and may not be copied, published or handed to another provider.

Payment and ownership

• Payment terms (deposit and balance, or single payment) are set in the project quote.
• On final payment, ownership of the finished website — its design, content and code written for your project — transfers to you.
• First-year pricing typically includes domain, hosting and support, renewing annually afterward at the rate stated in your quote. If you choose not to renew, we'll hand over your files and help you move.
• Standard domains are registered and managed under NexLoft as part of your onboarding budget — one less account for you to keep track of. Have your heart set on a premium name beyond that budget? We'll register it directly in your name, and you cover its cost.
• If you ever move on from NexLoft, we hold nothing back: your files come with you and we help make the transition easy and painless. A NexLoft-registered domain can be transferred to you for twice its original registration cost — for a typical domain, a small one-time fee.

When work counts as complete

• The project is complete when the agreed design and build are delivered and you accept them — in writing, or by putting the site to use. Acceptance makes the final balance due.
• Waiting on content never pauses completion. If photos, videos or details are still on their way from you, we finish the build with quality free-stock or AI-generated placeholders — and your included service swaps in the real thing whenever it arrives, at no extra charge.
• Launch timing is entirely your call. We deploy the moment you say go — but a finished, accepted site waiting on your go-ahead is still a finished site.
• If a project sits waiting more than 30 days on something only you can provide, we may deliver and invoice the work as built. Nothing is lost — we pick it right back up whenever you're ready.
• Changes after acceptance — new content, swapped photos, small tweaks — are exactly what your included service is for. Bigger additions get their own quick written quote, same as always.

Your content

You're responsible for the text, images and other material you supply, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We may decline content that is unlawful or that we're not comfortable publishing.

Our promise, and its limits

We build carefully and fix defects in our own work at no charge. Beyond that, the site is provided as-is: we can't guarantee search rankings, sales results or uninterrupted third-party services (hosting networks, e-mail providers, payment processors). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work the claim concerns.

Portfolio credit

We may show finished work in our portfolio and include a small "Designed and Built by NexLoft" credit in the site footer. If you'd rather we didn't, say so and we'll remove it.

Governing law
