Pay for the customer, not the click.

Google Ads puts you at the top of the page the moment someone searches for what you do. Done carelessly it burns money on the wrong searches. Done well it's the most controllable way a local business can turn on new customers. We run campaigns the way we run our own: tight keywords, a landing page built for the ad, every call and form tracked, and a monthly report in plain numbers.

SHT-S6.1What it isScale: intent, capturedRev A

Ads that show up only when someone is already looking.

Search advertising is different from social media ads: nobody is interrupted. Someone types "AC repair Crosby" and you appear at the top with your phone number. You pay only when they click, and only for the searches you chose. The whole craft is in choosing them, writing the ad, and making sure the page they land on turns the click into a call.

01

Keywords & negatives

The searches you want ("welding shop Baytown") and, just as important, the ones you don't ("welding jobs," "welding school"). A negative-keyword list is where most wasted budget is saved.

02

Ads in both languages

Separate English and Spanish ads, each with its own headlines and landing page, so a Spanish search gets a Spanish ad and a Spanish page — not a translation widget.

03

Landing pages

A page built for the ad, not your homepage: one service, one area, one clear next step, loading in a second on a phone. This is where a good campaign and a bad one part ways.

04

Tracking & reporting

Every call, text and form from the ads is counted, so the report says "14 leads for $310" instead of "clicks went up." You see cost per lead every month and decide with real numbers.

Field note — S/06We run our own Google Ads for this studio with the same setup — presence-only targeting on Harris and Chambers counties, phrase-match keywords, a growing negative list, conversions tracked to the thank-you page. We'll show you the account on the call.

SHT-S6.2How it worksScale: month by monthRev A

Set up once, tuned every week.

A campaign isn't a thing you launch; it's a thing you prune. Here's the shape of the first three months:

01

Setup

Account in your name, conversion tracking installed, keyword and negative lists built, ads written in English and Spanish, a landing page built or your best page tuned. About a week.

02

Weeks 1–4: learn

We watch the actual search terms people used, cut the junk, raise what works, and cap bids so no single click can run away with the budget.

03

Months 2–3: tighten

New ad variations, landing-page tweaks from what the calls tell us, schedule and area adjustments. Cost per lead usually drops noticeably here.

04

Every month: the report

One page: spend, leads, cost per lead, what changed, what's next. Stop any month; the account and all its history stay with you.

Budget honestyAd spend goes to Google, not through us. For most local services, $500–$1,500 a month in spend is where campaigns start to produce steady leads; below a few hundred dollars a month there usually isn't enough data to tune anything, and we'll tell you so instead of taking the fee.

Pricing

A flat fee, not a percentage of your spend.

Agencies that charge a percentage of ad spend are paid more when you spend more. Ours is flat, so the only incentive is cheaper leads.

Google Ads questions

How much should I spend?

Enough clicks to learn from. For most Houston-area services that has meant $500–$1,500 a month in ad spend; we estimate it for your exact searches on the call.

Is there a contract?

No. Month to month. We'd rather earn the next month than lock you into it.

Who owns the account?

You. It's opened in your name with your card; we manage it as an authorized user. Leave any time and the history, conversions and lists go with you.

Ads or SEO?

Ads work this week and stop when you stop. SEO takes months and keeps working. Most businesses that can afford both start with ads for cash flow and build SEO underneath. We'll tell you which fits your budget honestly.
