S-07 · Website care & hosting
Your site, looked after by someone with a name.
A website is a small machine that runs every day. Hosting expires, certificates lapse, forms silently stop sending, a price changes and nobody updates the page. A website maintenance plan is one flat monthly that covers managed hosting, domain management, backups, security updates and content changes, keeps the site fast, and gives you a phone number that reaches the people who built it.
Everything a site needs after launch day.
"Hosting" is just the computer your site lives on. Care is everything around it — the things that go wrong quietly and cost you customers before you notice. Here's what a plan actually covers:
Hosting & speed
Fast hosting with a content delivery network so the site loads quickly from anywhere, an SSL certificate that renews itself, and a domain that doesn't expire on a Saturday.
Backups & security
Daily off-site backups you can roll back to, software and plugin updates applied and tested, malware scanning, and a firewall in front of the site.
Monitoring
Uptime checks every minute, and — the one most plans skip — a monthly test that your contact form actually delivers. A form that fails silently is a leak you never see.
Changes & a human
New prices, a new photo, a holiday notice, a new team member: send it, it's done within your plan's response window, often the same business day. You reach the people who built it, not a ticket queue.
Field note — S/07We'll take on a site we didn't build. The first month includes a clean-up: updates, a speed pass, a backup and a written list of anything we found that you should know about.
Start in a week, leave any month.
No annual contracts. A plan should earn its renewal every month.
Onboarding
We take the site under management: hosting moved or connected, backups and monitoring switched on, logins secured, a first health check written up.
Every month
Updates applied, backups verified, form tested, speed checked, and your included change time used for whatever you send. A short report tells you what happened.
When something breaks
Monitoring usually tells us before you do. Priority plans get same-day response; every plan gets a fix, not a shrug.
OwnershipHosting and domain accounts stay in your name. If you ever leave, you take the site with you — we'll even help move it.

Care plan questions
My site was built by someone else. Can you take it?
Yes, in most cases — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and custom sites. The first month includes a health check, and if a site is in bad enough shape that a rebuild is cheaper than maintaining it, we'll say so.
What counts as a "change"?
Text, prices, photos, hours, a new staff bio, a new testimonial, a holiday banner — anything that doesn't need new design or new features. New pages and features are quoted separately, at a discount for plan members.
Do I still pay for hosting separately?
No — hosting is included in every plan. The domain renewal (typically $15–$20 a year) stays in your name and is the only outside cost.
What if I cancel?
Any month. We hand over the latest backup and the hosting details, and help point the domain wherever it needs to go.
What does ongoing website maintenance cover?
Managed hosting and domain management (we handle the DNS and the renewal so it never lapses; the registrar's yearly fee, typically $15–$20, stays in your name at cost), daily backups, security and software updates, uptime monitoring, a monthly speed pass, and the change time included in your plan for whatever the page needs: a new price, a photo, a service. Anything beyond the plan's hours is quoted before it's done.
